Model license vs. dataset license

You released your model under the MIT license, but it was trained on a dataset licensed under CC-NC.
Does that make your model useable for commercial purposes?
I know the area around this issue is grey, but I wondered what's your take.
Hey, thanks a lot for reaching out! You can use the model for commercial purposes. If you want to retrain a model with the open sourced dataset, the non commercial license will apply, though. Also, just so you know: if you liked our Boxed Segmenter, you can access an optimized version (speed and accuracy-wise) through our API. Just drop us an email if that's of interest: bonjour[at]lagon[dot]tech!
